The Founding 500 · opens before mocks
906 ready-made files across 97 topics. Slides, worksheets and mark schemes, homework, assessments, retrieval quizzes. Make the lesson we have not built yet. Project a revision game the whole class plays. And when the scripts come back, mark a set against your own mark scheme, nine seconds each.
Speca is already live, and free to try right now. Three resources a month, no card, nothing to cancel. Go and have a look before you decide. The list below is for the founding offer, which opens after half term.
Built by a serving UK secondary teacher, on the evenings it was meant to give back.
Eight files a topic, ninety-seven topics. The marking is just the one on top.
Speca is not a marking app with some worksheets bolted on. Marking is just the loudest of the four, because it is the one that eats your evenings.
The first 500 people on this list. That is the whole offer, and when it is gone it is gone.
The founding offer opens in the UK after October half term, and in South Africa on 13 January, their first day back. Founding members are invited in waves, so the first people on the list go first. Speca itself is open now, free, whether or not you join.
So you can tell at a glance whether your timetable is covered.
The 906 ready-made files cover six subjects: AQA GCSE Maths, AQA GCSE Combined Science, AQA GCSE Geography, AQA GCSE English Language, CAPS Grade 8 to 9 Maths, and Year 6 Maths. All built, all editable, all there today.
Marking and the make-it tools are not limited to that list. They read the mark scheme or the deck you hand them, so they work for any age, any subject and any exam board, including papers you wrote yourself. A Psychology teacher and a Year 4 teacher both get real use out of Speca today.
Teach something not on that list? Say so in the questions below. The library is built in the order this list asks for it, and that is not a figure of speech: it is literally what the answers decide.
Answered straight, including where the answer is "not yet".
It marks against your scheme and nothing else. Where your scheme is silent it says so and declines, rather than inventing a criterion to fill the gap. Tested against an A-level Psychology Research Methods mark scheme, it gave 0 out of 3 on an answer a careless marker would have given 1 for, because that scheme explicitly says not to credit it, and it flagged a question the scheme did not cover instead of guessing at a mark.
It is a first pass, not a final mark, and the product says so every time it gives you one. You read it before it goes anywhere near a student.
It is built for it: photographed handwritten answers, crumpled pages shot sideways, stacked fractions, crossed-out working and the usual ambiguous 4s and 9s. It transcribes working that is mathematically wrong exactly as written, rather than quietly correcting it into something the student did not do.
You see the transcription before anything is marked, in a box you can edit. That glance is the safety step: a misread becomes a two-second correction instead of a wrong grade.
Nine seconds a script, measured, for the marks plus the WWW and EBI written out. Photographing the work is the slow part, and that is you, not us.
We are not going to quote you a four-hours-to-thirty-minutes figure we have not measured. Try it on one class in your free 30 days and you will know better than any number we could put here.
Nobody yet, and that is why this list exists. You will not find testimonials on this page, because inventing them is the easiest thing in the world and we would rather you trusted the parts you can check: the company number in the footer, the ICO registration, and the 906 files you can download and read before you pay anything.
Founding members are the first real users. That is the deal, and it is why the price is locked for as long as you stay.
This is the actual queue. The questions below are what reorders it, which is the part of the offer that is easy to write and harder to mean.
Ten questions, about a minute. They are not marketing: they decide which subject gets built next and what the app does first.
We will email you when the doors open.
Thank you for the answers. They genuinely change what gets built first.
